Here’s The First Trailer of Jordan Peele and J.J. Abrams’ HBO Series ‘Lovecraft Country’


Jordan Peele has a natural gift of innovation when it comes to transcending imaginative reality to the big screen. With major success from projects like ‘Get Out’ and ‘Us’, Peele is now venturing into the world of series.

The official teaser trailer for his latest project has been released, and is nothing short of amazing. Title Lovecraft Country the forthcoming series is tailored on the twisted fantasy horror by Matt Ruff’s novel of the same name. The series and novel is based on the state of America during the era of Jim Crow when segregation of Whites and Blacks were still in full swing. In a press excerpt, it details the background of the show and what to expect stating: “Lovecraft Country follows Atticus Freeman as he meets up with his friend Letitia and his Uncle George to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father. This begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback.”

Set to premiere in August 2020, the series is comprised of an elite cast including Jonathan Majors, whom plays the lead of Atticus Freeman, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Letitia, Courtney B. Vance as Uncle George and Michael Kenneth Williams as Atticus’ missing father.
