For the Day 3 attendees, Kanye West spoke on moving the YEEZY headquarters to a new 4,000-acre ranch in Wyoming, which will hold its own hydroponic farm. While holding a pair of the YEEZY Clog, West exclaimed “we’re going to be farming and going seed to sole.” The plan stems from the idea of being able to “see every element” with the intent to create their own foam from algae. With sustainability become a huge topic, big brands are forced to accompany the fast growing problem of textile waste damaging the environment. West initiative is intended to help clean waterways that go through wildlife and drinking water pipes in addition to cutting down, and ultimately eliminating fossil fuels commonly used in the production of foam. Steven Smith chimed in saying, “Eco-concerns are intersecting with what we do, this is just the beginning of the future that Kanye envisioned for us to start working on.”
With release of the YEEZY Foam Runner set for early 2020, the shoe is rumored to be priced at $75.
